MEMBERSHIP

There will be three categories of membership in the monastery. They are: founder members, life members, and general members.

Membership fee and procedures to become a member:

- Those who have faith and belief in Buddhism and have participated actively in founding the monastery shall be offered founder membership.
- Any Nepalese citizens having faith in Buddhism shall be offered ordinary membership upon the payment of entrance fee and annual fees as decided by the board. At present the entrance and the annual fee are Rs.100 and Rs.500 respectively.
- Those offering donation worth Rs. 5,000/- in cash to the monastery shall be offered life membership.

Termination of membership:

A member will lose the membership under following conditions:

- in the event of death of any member,
- when a member becomes insane,
- any activity of a member found to harm the Buddhist religion or religious feeling,
- in the event of misappropriation/misuse of funds of the donors,
- failing to re-subscribe annual fees within 6 months notice of the renewal of membership.
- if found by the board of directors in any activities that will be against regulations of the monastery and in case of misbehavior, and
- if the resignation is accepted.
